Tauck 4 Corners Vacation

Ronni and I just returned from a two week vacation visiting my sister in Denver, and a Tauck Tour of the 4 corner states where Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico come together. Our Tauck Tour started in Durango, Colorado. Durango is a small tourist town which grew up during the mining boom in the late 19th century. It is the home of the D&SNGR railroad. The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad runs three steam locomotives up to Silverton each day. Silverton is almost a goast town catering to railroad passengers.
After leaving Durango, we made our way west to Mesa Verde National Park. Mesa Verde is where ancient Pueblo cliff dwelling Indians lived. We spent a few days exploring their cliff homes.
From there we shuttled to Moab by small planes. In Moab we stayed at the Sorrel River Ranch. The ranch is located along the Colorado River. If offeres many activities such as horseback riding. While at the ranch we visited Monument Valley, and the Canyons and Arches National Parks for hiking and exploration. The Utah desert has beautiful photographic scenery. Tauck is a wonderful way to travel and to meet people from all over the world. Some trip photos are posted on http://www.gorback.com/   my web site.
