Felez Ano, Pura Vida, Con Mucho Gusto from Costa Rica, where Ronni and I celebrated the New Year with 20 new friends from BACKROADS.
Our trip started in San Jose with a flight to Quepos. A bike ride of 9 miles along dirt roads to the Parador Hotel. Then flying to the Nicoya Peninsula two days later, with a hike to the Rafiki Safari Lodge.
2010 began at Rafiki with a party and some adventurous white water rafting. A flight the next day took us to the Punta Islita Hotel. A little more hiking and we were headed home with fond memories of Costa Rica and some insights into Eco Tourism. Many thanks to our BackRoads guides Cara and Adam.
